+   NHRA vice-president of marketing and communications Jeffrey Young confirmed that Camping World will end its title sponsorship of the drag racing series after the  2024 season. More at Autoweek. 

+   Chevrolet announced that the 2024 Silverado EV Work Truck will offer an EPA-estimated range of up to 450 miles per charge and a fast-DC charging rate of 350 kW. More at Car and Driver. 

+   The Biden administration has dropped, for now, a plan that would have awarded automakers such as Tesla credits for using renewable natural gas to power EVs. More  at The Detroit News.

 The Ontario provincial government offered to increase funding for the Stellantis EV battery plant there, attempting to end a stalemate that halted construction of the facility. More at Reuters.

+   Bentley CEO Adrian Hallmark says the customization craze among wealthy car buyers has raised prices 40 percent in the past four years, boosting company profits. More  aat CNBC. 

+   Ferrari has filed a U.S. patent application for an active-electronic rear-wheel steering system that works in coordination with actively adjustable spring and damper rates. More at Motor Authority. 

+   A faithful recreation of the original Hyundai Pony Coupe concept designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro and first shown at the 1974 Milan Auto Show has been unveiled in Italy. More at Motor Trend. 

 The original 1970 Dodge Challenger 426 Street Hemi street racer known as the Black Ghost brought $975,000 ($1,072,500 with fees) at the annual Mecum Indy sale. More at Autoweek. 

+   Ford is recalling 422,000 SUVs from the 2020 through 2022 model years to correct a defect in the 360-degree rear-view video camera system that could cause lack of vision. More at World Auto Forum. 

 NASCAR is reportedly planning to move the television coverage of its junior Xfinity series from broadcast and cable television to an online streaming service exclusively. More at Jayski.
