Preview: 2013 St. John’s Concours

It’s almost here: This coming weekend’s Concours d’Elegance of America at St. John’s in Plymouth, Michigan. Here’s the rundown.

You can find MCG’s exclusive coverage of the 2012 St. John’s Concours here, here, and here

Naturally, there’s a full slate of events associated with the Concours at John’s, including a collector car tour, parties, a  gala, collector car seminars, the RM Auction on Saturday, and the main event: the big car show on the lawn on Sunday. You can find the full schedule of events with times, locations, and details here at the event website.

The Concours on Sunday, July 28 (10 AM to 4 PM) features 12 traditional classes as in years past, plus a rich variety of featured classes, including Vintage NASCAR racers, bobber motorcycles, one-off Cords and Auburns, and electric vehicles of yesterday and today. For a complete listing of the categories, click here.

In other words, it’s shaping up as another once-in-a-lifetime collection of vehicles. To whet your appetite for Sunday’s show, here are a few of the cars that were on hand for last week’s media preview. Gallery below.

  1. I can’t believe my daughter chose this weekend to get married! At least my car will make it to this great event. Looking forward to MCG’s follow up report.
