  1. At the rate NASCAR is going with the “Chase”, in a couple more years everyone will qualify for it. Kinda makes it more like the stick and ball games where it seems only the worst 2-3 don’t make the “play offs”.

Just my opinion, yours may vary.

    • Agreed! As soon as NASCAR finds a way to make more money by having more drivers in the chase, everyone will be in the chase.
Or the cars that don’t make it into the chase sponsors start complaining.

    • Yep. The only purpose of a playoff system in any sport is to ramp up publicity and maximize revenue. In the most basic example, what happens when a major media market is excluded from a playoff? Many dollars left on the table.

  2. Vehicle to vehicle communications, self braking cars and computer controlled anti-collision systems sound like personal injury lawyers dream come true. If I am driving down the highway during a rectal-cranial inversion and slam into you, well, it’s not my fault.

Who will the law firm of Dewy, Screwm & Howe sue? The answer is EVERYBODY. The auto maker, the supplier that made the system, the computer manufacturer, the programmer, the dealership and probably the individual salesman that sold the car.
