+   Up to 25 percent of new cars may soon be entirely electric, says Jason Hoff, CEO of Mercedes-Benz USA, which is investing $1 Billion in an electric car plant in Alabama. More at CNBC.

+   Three-time Formula 1 champion and current points leader Lewis Hamilton says he has no designs on matching the seven titles of all-time champion Michael Schumacher. More at Motorsport.com. 

+   BMW plans to build its new 8 series at its Dingolfing, Germany plant starting  2018, strengthening the factory’s role in the production of premium models .More at Automotive News Europe. 

+   Unifor, the Canadian auto workers’ union, says it has presented a “comprehensive” proposal to General Motors in a effort to settle a strike at the Ingersoll, Ontario CAMI plant. More at The Globe and Mail. 

+   The race-ready Camaro GT4.R, constructed by Pratt & Miller Engineering and eligible for global GT4 competition, is now available to the public with a price of $259,000. More at Motor Trend.

+   The Jaguar E-Pace compact SUV, which previously debuted in London in July, was given its formal North American introduction in Novi, Michigan, just outside Detroit. More at the Detroit Free Press. 

+   The exceptional vintage car collection of Lindley and Ann Bothwell will be auctioned by Bonhams on November 11 at the Bothwell Ranch in Woodland Hills, California. More at Sports Car Digest. 

+   Coverage of the 2017 Verizon IndyCar Series on NBCSN delivered the network’s second most-watched IndyCar season ever and was up 3% over 2016, the series reports. More at Racer.
