+  At the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, Chevrolet unveiled the convertible version of the 2020 mid-engine C8 Corvette, which features a fully retractable hardtop roof. More at Autoblog.

+  Stalled talks between General Motors and the United Auto Workers are holding up negotiations at other automakers, though Ford is reportedly close to a deal. More at The Detroit News. 

+  After barely six months on the job, Jozef Kaban has resigned as chief of design at Rolls-Royce, the second executive to exit the position in the past two years. More at Automotive News Europe. 

 Echoing previous statements by series boss Ross Brawn, Formula 1 management has taken a cool stance toward new teams attempting to join the competition in 2021. More at Motorsport.com. 

+  For the third quarter of 2019, Ram second place from Chevrolet/GMC in the pickup sales battler, while Ford maintained a solid lead despite a volume decline. More at the Detroit Free Press. 

In Wolfsburg, Germany on October 24, Volkswagen reportedly will debut the eighth-generation Golf sedan with an assortment of gasoline and electric powertrains. More at The Drive. 

+   Tesla’s share price fell six percent after the electric car maker’s quarterly deliveries disappointed investors already concerned about slowing revenue growth. More at Reuters. 

 Twenty-one vehicles from the collection of the late actor Paul Walker, star of The Fast and the Furious movie series, will be offered at the 2020 Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale sale. More at Hemmings Daily. 

 Mitsubishi will introduce its M-Tech hybrid SUV concept, which features electric motor drive on all four wheels, at the Tokyo Motor Show later this month. More at CNET Roadshow. 

 Second-generation IndyCar pilot Conor Daly is no longer under consideration for a seat with the McLaren-Arrow SPM partnership, the team has informed him. More at Racer.
