 Storied British automaker Aston Martin is on track to produce its first annual profit since 2010, producing and selling 3,300 cars in the first nine months of 2017. More at Motor Trend.

 According to a report from Nikkei Asian Review, Honda will introduce redesigned  batteries to reduce the charging times for its electric vehicles to 15 minutes by 2022. More at Autoblog. 

 Ride-sharing service Uber has admitted that the company covered up a data breach in which hackers stole the financial and personal information of 57 million customers. More at CNBC. 

+   Retired three-time NASCAR Cup champion Tony Stewart, 46, announced that he and longtime girlfriend Penelope “Penny” Jimenez will be married. More at Motorsport.com.

+   Motor vehicle production in the United Kingdom rose 3.5 percent in October as export demand exceeded a decline in domestic sales, according to an SMMT report. More at Automotive News Europe. 

 Top sellers at the Mecum Las Vegas auction included a 1968 Yenko Super Camaro at $600,000 and a pair of 1969 Boss 429 Mustangs at $200,000 each. More at Hemmings Daily.

+   Veteran race car driver and television commentator David Hobbs will reportedly retire from his broadcast duties at NBC Sports at the conclusion of the 2017 Formula 1 season. More at Racer.

  1. Why is a cast iron big block especially desireable in a Camaro except for drag racing. That big heavy thing hanging between the front wheels would make it pig understeer, just like the 396s do. Especially on those garbage bias belt junkers which were garbage then and are total garbage now
    The ZL1 with the alloy engine sort of makes sense but are out of my price range by about 100%.
