+   Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel apologized to Max Verstappen of Red Bull for their collision in the British Grand Prix, for which Vettel received a ten-second penalty. More at Racer. 

+   According to Zuffenhausen plant manager Christian Friedl, Porsche makes identical vehicles “a maximum of two times per year” despite unprecedented production levels. More at Motor1.com.

+   In October, the reborn Bloodhound land speed record project will test at the  Hakskeen Pan in South Africa’s Kalahari Desert, a new venue for record attempts. More at Hemmings Daily.
