+   Lord Montagu, the pioneering British car collector who established the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu, has passed away at 88. More at BBC News. 

+   Suzuki Motor Corp. of Japan reports it will buy back the 19.9 percent stake it sold to Volkswagen after an international arbitration court settled a dispute between the automakers over their failed partnership. More at Reuters. 

+   UAW locals with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles have voted  97 percent in favor of authorizing a strike, a routine but important procedural step as the union and automaker continue contract negotiations. More at The Detroit News. 

+   Former Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson will reportedly earn $15 million a year on his new program produced by Amazon, with co-hosts James May and Richard Hammond earning $11 million each. More at Autoblog.

+   As title contenders Juan Montoya and Graham Rahal faltered, Scott Dixon dominated the Verizon IndyCar season finale at Sonoma Raceway in California to claim the 2015 series championship. More at USA Today. 

+   German auto parts manufacturer Robert Bosch has acquired Seeo Inc. of California, the developer of an advanced lithium-ion automotive battery. More at Financial Buzz. 

+   Sapa, a Norwegian auto parts maker specializing in aluminum extrusions, is setting up business and research and development facilities in the Detroit suburb of Troy. More at the Detroit Free Press. 

+   Infiniti is teasing more images of its new Q30 luxury hatchback in advance of its introduction at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show next month. More at Motor Trend. 

+   The 2015 RM Sotheby’s London auction on September 7 will feature nearly 80 cars, including a 1925 Renault Model 45 Tourer and a 2006 Porsche Carrera GT. More at Sports Car Digest.

+   Renault is set to return to Formula 1 as a works team as the automaker takes a 65 percent stake in the Lotus racing team of Enstone, UK. More at Racer.
