 Nissan’s Infiniti luxury brand will introduce five new models in China as it prepares to triple its sales volume in the world’s largest auto market over the next five years. More at Motor Trend.

  At Richmond this past weekend, NASCAR team owner Joe Gibbs confirmed that Joe Gibbs Racing has agreed to renew its agreement with manufacturer Toyota. More at Jayski.

+   Pushed by rising prices and increasing demand for loaded pickups and SUVs, lenders are expected to extend new vehicle loan terms from 73 to 84 months. More at Autoblog.

+   Domestic automakers and the U.S. Council for Automotive Research are lobbying the federal government for a single grade of retail gasoline rated at 95 RON. More at The Auto Channel.

 A Porsche 911 GT3 RS has clocked a lap of  6:56.4 minutes on the Nürburgring Nordschleife, joining the elite sub-seven minute club for factory production cars. More at Automobile. 

+   Representatives from Canada and Mexico reported solid progress with the United States in negotiations to update the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). More at Reuters. 

 Volkswagen has unveiled the I.D. R, its all-electric, 680 horsepower challenger for the elapsed-time record at the 2018 Pikes Peak Hill Climb on June 28. More at Motorsport.com.
