Check out this video by producer Brenden Kent and director Paul Greer. It’s a masterpiece in stop-motion animation called Nitro Warriors.
The cinematic influences in this classic car-chase film are evident: Toby Halicki, John Landis, Rankin/Bass. We’re just thankful that the filmmakers had the resources, the funding, and, well, the time on their hands to execute this tour de force. Not to mention one awesome Matchbox collection.
Several conclusions might be drawn here:
A) This is the stupidest video in the history of the Internet.
B) This is the greatest video in the history of the Internet.
C) Both.
The important thing is that Kent and Greer were able to get in touch with their inner 11 year-olds and get this film made. Ladies and gentlemen, Nitro Warriors:
Smiled all the way through it.
Yup, that was pretty well made. And as the post mentioned, there were lots of recognizable borrowed parts from movie chase scenes.
Finally, a good reason for the existence of cell phone cameras. Absolutely amazing.
Regardless of wether its a lost art or not…that was so bad ass!!! Loved it!!!
