This video doesn’t require much in the way of set-up or explanation. To celebrate the company’s long collaboration with Ferrari and to roll out their V-Power gasoline brand, the folks at Shell Oil put together this beautiful little film. We don’t know this, but it was said to be the most expensive commercial ever made by Shell—certainly the most elaborate.

Created in 2007 by Antoine Bardou Jacquet of Partizan and producer David Stewart, the Shell-Ferrari clip predates Mac’s Motor City Garage by a number of years. But it made quite an impression on the motoring world at the time, and we thought it was worth circling back for another viewing. Please enjoy.
