Video: Crazy Canadians Build a Truck Out Of Ice

Here it is: proof positive that winters in Canada are far too long. They built a truck from blocks of ice, eh. Watch this.

Looks like the good people at Canadian Tire have this social media thing figured out. To promote their new MotoMaster Eliminator battery—in particular, its superb cold weather starting capabilities—they came up with a truly silly and entertaining stunt: Build a truck out of ice. Sure, why not.

Naturally, there are challenges in building a truck body entirely from ice. For instance, the ice alone weighs 14,000 lbs. But Canadian ingenuity prevailed, and the motorized igloo started just fine and ran 1.6 kilometers through the streets of glamorous Hensall, Ontario. By the way, Canadian Tire is a loyal, longtime supporter of motorsports in North America, so props for that.
