Heads up! One of the greatest shows in the whole wide world of vintage cars is coming this weekend: The annual Jack Miller Orphan Car Show in Ypsilanti. Here’s a preview with all the info you need.
WHEN: Sunday, September 22, 2013 9:00 AM
WHERE: Riverside Park, Ypsilanti, Michigan (map here)
WHAT: The 17th annual Jack Miller Orphan Car Show
Here’s an event very near and dear to MCG’s heart. Orphan cars are the oddballs, the misfits, the miscreants, the castoffs of the automotive world. Accordingly, these are often some of the most fascinating marques you will ever encounter, with unique engineering and colorful histories.
Jack Miller and his crack staff at the Orphan Show do a masterful job assembling these rare and unusual vehicles from all over and presenting them at beautiful Riverside Park in downtown Ypsilanti. From Packard to Panhard, from DeSoto to Davis, you can find them here. If you’ve been to the Orphan Show before, you know. If you haven’t attended yet and you enjoy cars, you need to find out. Make the drive, it’s worth it. We hope to see you there.
Naturally, there will be complete coverage of the event here at Mac’s Motor City Garage. Meantime, here’s a small gallery of cars from past shows. Have a look.
You talked me into it. I’m dirivng from Indianapolis.
