More from the Frankenmuth Auto Fest 2012

Here’s another big photo gallery from last weekend’s 2012 Frankenmuth Auto Fest.

MCG doesn’t wish to play favorites. We would merely call out a few cars we spotted at Frankenmuth that, for any number of perfectly objective reasons, might be worthy of a second look. They include:

+   Dave Clark’s ’39 Ford Deluxe Tudor Sedan. Great flames, perfect stance.

+   Keith Laycock’s ’57 Mercury Turnpike Cruiser. A beautiful example of a rare car that must be nearly impossible to restore due to all its complicated and unusual features.

+   Lynn and Donna Goodwin’s ’51 Ford Victoria. A period-perfect late ’50s kustom that, unlike many, isn’t the least bit awkward or contrived. It just looks good.

+   Ron Van Zytveld’s 1940 Pontiac Sport Coupe. Excellent, authentic restoration of a type and style of car you just don’t see at the old car shows anymore.

All these great cars—and lots more—can be found in the slide show below.

  1. Seeing your old car photos is like seeing a litter of Beagle pups. I want to take all of them home with me. Of course, Mrs. Nicholson would allow neither.
