Due to popular demand, here’s a second big photo gallery from the Sins of Steel hot rod show this past weekend in Davisburg, Michigan.
For MCG, a big part of the enjoyment in a traditional hot rod show like Sins of Steel is in soaking up all the delicious details. Often, it’s the little things that provide the visual impact in an authentic period-style hot rod. And when you add them up together, sometimes a car can be more than the sum of its parts. Here are a few of the items that caught MCG’s eye at the lovely Oakland County fairgrounds Saturday:
+ Olds Fiesta wheel covers modified with bullet center caps
+ A nicely detailed Ford flathead V8 with block-script Edelbrock heads and a beehive accessory oil filter
+ An early Chrysler Hemi engine running dual quads and a pair of marine-style flame arrestors
+ A ’55 Chevy gasser powered by a small-block Chevy with an Edelbrock TR-1 intake manifold, the original shoebox tunnel-ram.
Look for these details and more in the gallery below. See any more parts and pieces that catch your fancy?
