MCG’s turkey day turkeys

Ugly is such an unfair word…

This is not a “world’s ugliest cars” feature. Ugly is a terribly subjective concept, and who are we to judge? We work in this business. We would no more compile a list of the ugliest children in the neighborhood. It wouldn’t be gracious.

Besides, MCG loves cars with unconventional styling. They’re often more interesting to look at, constructing their own kind of charm. Every car included here has been called unattractive, but we’re not going there. We’ll simply call these cars turkeys, after the respected (and delicious) bird that nearly became America’s national symbol, and leave it at that. Enjoy.

  1. I didn’t think the ’36 Nash looked all that bad but I knew the Pontiac Aztek would be in there somewhere.

  2. The ’57 Aurora would have to take the prize for sheer weirdness. And some of those tiny modern cars I find quite appealing, odd for sure but I wouldn’t say unattractive.

  3. Picking a favorite here is difficult. I’m going to go with the fruit- (or vegetable-?) like VW Colani. But wow, some fantastic choices.
