Because often, one man’s turkey is another man’s treasure.
As we’ve often stated, here at Mac’s Motor City Garage we try not to judge. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, success often too. As gearheads, we’re drawn to the odd, the unusual, the star-crossed and ill-fated. The stranger the car and its background, the more fascinating it can be.
Take the cars in the gallery below. All have been ridiculed at times, but every one of them has a compelling story. And sure, while many would call these cars losers—for their looks, for their engineering, for their record in the marketplace, or just on general principles—there are also plenty of enthusiasts who would love to own them. In the spirit of automotive diversity, here are the Turkey Day turkeys for 2013.
Thank you all & have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!

I have to admit that I wouldn’t mind having some, OK, just about all of these turkeys in my garage!
Happy Thanksgiving to all MCG staff and devotees; it’s something I’m grateful for year ’round.
This collection could really use a D-B or a Leata.
Bill, I don’t think the Cadillac Cimarron was, or ever will be, on any body’s Treasure list. It is almost to nondescript to even be a turkey, perhaps a boiled capon.
This may sound odd but what I remember about the Cadillac Cimarron was really nice seats.
You forgot the pumpkin-colored Lincoln that was at Pebble. WTF were they thinking?
Keep up the good work MCG!
Did you see where it did not meet reserve at $1.55M in NYC?
Maybe someone figured out it really had no connection to Lincoln.
Nice!
