Today’s headlines:

 Struggling EV startup Faraday Future, which saw its share price tumble 96 percent, received a compliance notice from NASDAQ when the price fell below $1 for 10 straight days. More at Investing.com.

 A study of seven major cities by the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health found that narrower streets may be safer for vehicles and pedestrians in urban areas. More at The Drive. 

 The top 10 cars sold online at Bring a Trailer in 2023 include a 1967 Porsche 910 at $2.5 million, a  2020 Ford GT at $1.79 million, and a 2005 Porsche Carrera at $1.78 million. More at Car and Driver. 

 China’s Li Auto Inc annnounced it expects to launch and begin deliveries of its first fully electric car in March.with the MEGA multi-purpose vehicle, priced at around  $84,500. More at Reuters. 

 According to analyst Alex Yurchenko,of Black Book and Motor, used cars are now depreciating at a slower rate, due in part to the pricing bublole during the COVID-19 pandemic. More at CNBC. 

 The historic Lancia brand at Stellentis is teasing more images of its first EV, an electrified and updated version of its Ypsilon hatchback that will debut in February 2024. More at Motor Authority. 

 One of two 1989 Lamborghini Countach 25th anniversary models used in the movie The Wolf of Wall Street, the clean, undamaged one, sold at auction for $1,66 million. More at Autoblog.. .

 U.S. trailer net orders fell by more than 13,000 units in November, a 38 percent decline from the previous month, signalling growing pressures on the commercial trucking industry. More at Commercial Carrier Journal. 

Sadly, we have three deaths to report in the world of motorsport:

+   Pioneer dragster and funny car owner Roland Leong, who fielded cars under The Hawaiian name with drivers including Don Prudhomme and Danny Ongais, has passed away at 79. More at Autoweek. 

+   Two-time CART-IndyCar Series champion, 2003 Indianapolis 500 winner, holder of the closed-course speed record, and racing consultant Gil de Ferran has passed away suddenly at 56. More at Racer.  

+   Cale Yarborough, a 2012 NASCAR  Hall of Famer, winner of 83 NASCAR Cup races, and the first driver to win three consecutive Cup championships, has died at 84. More at ESPN.
