About the VW smog test kerfuffel. This has been going on for 6 years now and the EPA just now found out! And the other two questions I have. How many other car companies are doing this? What will this do to all of the people who have HyperTech or Bullydog chips in their cars?
If any other car companies are doing this, I suggest they ‘fess up now. VW is facing criminal charges.
As for products you can buy that get around EPA regulations, the government typically targets the manufacturer of the product rather than the end user. Unless, I suppose, they are intentionally using such a device during an emissions test.
