+   Toyota will adopt Tesla’s North American Charging Standard (NACS) in 2025, and it will also supply adapters for EVs with the current CCS charging connector at the same time. More at AP News. 

 General Motors has delayed its fall Investor Day, scheduled for November 16, citing the United Auto Workers’ simultaneous strike against the Detroit Three automakers, More at The Detroit News. 

+   Honda confirmed that it will offer a hybrid version of the Civic sedan and hatchback in the USA for the 2025 model year, and expects it to garner 40 percent of the car’s sales. More at Autoblog. 

 Red Bull Formula 1 river Sergio Perez dismissed rumors that he plans to retire and says he will fulfill his contract with the team next year despite his current struggles on the track. More at Racer. 

 Tesla has joined General Motors and Ford in exercising caution about expanding EV production capacity, citing economic uncertainties and fears of a slowdown in demand. More at Reuters. 

 DeLorean Next Generation Motors (DNG), backed by daughter Kathryn DeLorean, announced the production of a supercar based on the mid-engine  C8 Corvette’s architecture. More at Hemmings. 

+   Lordstown Motors received U.S. bankruptcy court approval to sell its manufacturing assets to a new company affiliated with former CEO Stephen Burns for $10.2 million. More at World Auto Forum. 

+   A restored 1967 Ford GT that originally served as a press car for Ford of Great Britain and was also displayed at the 1967 Geneva Auto Show is for sale online by a private owner. More at Car and Driver. 

+   A prototype for a redesigned BMW X3, the German automaker’s most popular vehicle in the USA,  has been spotted in camouflage testing at Germany’s Nürburgring circuit. More at Motor Authority. 

 IndyCar drivers Will Power and Linus Lundqvist participated in a Firestone tire test at the Milwaukee Mile in preparation for the series’ return to the historic track next season. More at Trackside Online.
