 German carmaker BMW will acquire a majority stake in Brilliance China Automotive, its joint venture in China, the first outside auto manufacturer to do so. More at Deutsche Welle. 

 The average annual percentage rate for a new-car loan rose 5.8 percent in September, up one full point over the same month last year, according to NADA. More at The Detroit News.

+   Fiat Chrysler Automobiles will offer a plug-in electric hybrid version of the Jeep Wrangler to be manufactured at the company’s Melfi, Italy assembly plant. More at Motor Trend. 

+   Terence Adderley, the former chairman and CEO of Kelly Services and a prominent classic car collector and patron of the hobby, has passed away at 85. More at Crain’s Detroit Business.
