 Taiwanese electronics giant Foxconn unveiled the Foxtron Model B, a battery-electric hatchback that will enter production in China in 2023 and in Lordstown, Ohio in 2024. More at Car and Driver. 

+   Nissan is pressing its French partner Renault to reduce its ownership stake in the Japanese automaker, ideally to 15 percent, and is studying a plan to buy back the shares. More at Reuters. 

 Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced via Twitter that deliveries of the long-awaited Tesla Semi tractor will begin in December, with the first electric trucks going to Pepsi-Cola. More at The Drive. 

 With a dominating victory in the rain in the Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka, Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing claimed his second straight Formula 1 world driving title. More at Racer.

 Jeep maker Stellantis has been hit with its sixth air quality-violation notice in the past year at the Mack Assembly Plant on Detroit’s East side, state envionmental officials say. More at The Detroit News. 

 Rivian is recalling around 13,000 electric pickups and SUVs, nearly all the vehicles it has delivered, to repair a loose ball joint fastener that could cause a loss of vehicle control. More at Autoblog. 

+   NASCAR Cup drivers met with series officials and safety engineers this past weekend as NASCAR presented crash test results and proposed vehicle changes. More at Jayski. 

+   Swedish electric vehicle maker Polestar, which will introduce its latest model, the Polestar 3 SUV, this week, confirmed that it is sheduled to produce 50,000 vehicles this year. More at CNBC.
