 Sir Frank Williams, who in 1977 founded the Williams Formula 1 team that won seven drivers’ titles and nine constructors’ championships, has passed away at 79. More at the UK Guardian.

+   Blackrock, Inc. and five automakers have partnered to invest $787 million in Ionity GmbH, which aims to quadruple its number of high-power charging points in Europe. More at Autoblog. 

+   General Motors was planning to produce a version of the Chevy Colorado mid-size pickup with a 455 hp 6.2L V8, but the project died with the end of the Holden division. More at The Drive. 

+   Uber has been ordered by an appeals court to pay a $336,000 fine and stop offering its ride-hailing service in the Belgian capital of Brussels, where the company has 2,000 drivers. More at CNBC. 

+   After rising throughout the year, prices for used Class 3 through Class 8 commercial trucks will continue to climb in 2022, according to market analysts at ACT Research. More at Commercial Carrier Journal. 

+   The Spanish Grand Prix will remain on the Formula 1 calendar until 2026, with the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya and series officials securing a long-term agreement. More at Racer.

 A Ferrari SF90 Stradale test mule  was totally destroyed in a crash near Hoffenheim, Germany, but the driver was uninjured and no other vehicles were involved, reportedly. More at Road & Track.

  1. With so many EVs entering the market in China, it’s hard to see how they will all survive.

    • If history repeats itself, it will be like the early 20th century…..only the few strongest will survive.
