 In Los Angeles, Tesla founder and CEO Elon Musk introduced the Cybertruck, his company’s first electric pickup, with three available drivetrains and priced from $40,000 to $70,000. More at Wired. 

+   United Auto Workers President Gary Jones has resigned amid million-dollar embezzlement accusations just as the union’s leadership moved to expel him. More at The Detroit News. 

+   Noteworthy product rollouts at this week’s Los Angeles Auto Show include the Toyota RAV4 Prime, Aston Martin DBX, and the Volkswagen ID Space Vizzion Concept. More at Autoblog. 

 Chairman and CEO Mary Barra announced that General Motors will debut its first electric pickup in the fall of 2021, just as Tesla is scheduled to bring its truck to market. More at Reuters. 

+   Seven-time NASCAR Cup champion Jimmie Johnson, driver of the no. 48 Hendrick Chevrolet, announced that the 2020 season will be his last in the series as a full-time driver. More at CNN.

+  Volkswagen Group reports it will invest $4.43 billion in the China market next year with local manufacturing partners SAIC and FAW Group, largely in e-mobility programs. More at CNBC. 

+   Chevrolet has revived the Trailblazer name for 2021 with a budget-conscious, compact crossover with a small turbo engine and a base price under $20,000. More at The Drive. 

+   Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Chairman John Elkann forcefully rejected allegations in a lawsuit from General Motors implicating the company in the union bribery scandal. More at Automotive News Europe.

+   Mecum Auctions’ annual Gone Farmin’ Fall Premier sale in Davenport, Iowa, posted nearly $10 million in sales and a 96 percent sell-through rate. More at Classic Cars.com Journal. 

+   Citroen announced it will pull out of the World Rally Championship immediately, citing the departure of six-time champion Sebastian Ogier as a major reason. More at Yahoo! Sports. 

+   The Japan Automotive Hall of Fame (JAHFA) has recognized Mitsubishi’s first production auto, the 1918 Model A, which joins the Isuzu Elf and other 2019 inductees. More at Hemmings Daily.
