+   Wholesale used car prices fell 2 percent in the first half of October and 10.2 percent over the past year, but retail prices rose 7.2 percent, according to private and public sector data. More at The Hill. 

+   Via Twitter, Tesla CEO Elon Musk has denied a story from Reuters reporting that the electric carmaker was considering importing vehicles to the USA from its plant in China.  More at Reuters. 

+   EV maker Polestar reported a smaller third-quarter operating loss as revenue more than doubled and the company cut spending, sending the share price up sharply. More at U.S. News and World Report.

 In Bahrain, the Toyota GR010 clinched the FIA World Endurance Championship to take the automaker’s fourth straight season title, while Ferrari won the GTO Pro Crown. More at Motorsport.com. 

 The court-appointed monitor overseeing the United Auto Workers’ ongoing election of international officers charged that one candidate used union funds for campaigning. More at The Detroit News. 

+   California now has approximately 570 electric school buses on the road, but that is a fraction of the 25,000 buses in service, according to the California Air Resources Board. More at Autoblog. 

+   Rivian announced that it will delay until 2026 the introduction of its second-generation R2 platform, a smaller and more affordable alternative to its current R1S/R1T. .More at Motor Authority. 

 The 2023 Ford F-150 Raptor R performance truck achieved an EPA fuel mileage rating pf 10 mpg city, 15 highway, and 13 combined, matching its rival the Ram TRX. More at Car and Driver.

+   Exotic car maker McLaren, which has stayed out ot the electric supercar market so far, may produce a more practical electric sedan first, says chief technology officer Michael Lieters. More at The Drive. 

+   Lucas Oil Products has signed a multi-year contract extension with NHRA to serve as title sponsor of the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series and serve as official oil of NHRA. More at Speed Sport.
