 Nearly a quarter of the shoppers (24 percent) surveyed in a recent J.D. Power study say they are “very likely” to consider an electric vehicle for their next purchase or lease. More at The Drive. 

 Ford CEO Jim Farley announced via Twitter that the Bronco Raptor’s twin-turbo V-6 will be rated at 418 horsepower, an increase from the previously announced 400-hp target. More at Car and Driver. 

+   The former FCA unit of Stellantis in the USA has agreed to plead guilty to criminal conduct and pay roughly $300 million in penalties to resolve a multi-year emissions fraud probe. More at Reuters.

  Deliveries of the Ford F-150 Lightning, the Dearborn automaker’s first  electric pickup, are now under way, with the company planning to produce 150,000 units this year. More at The Drive. 

 According to sources at South Korea’s Hyundai Motor Group, the Hyundai Sonata, Kia K5 sedan, and rear-wheel drive Kia Stinger are scheduled to be discontinued. More at Motor Trend. 

 The ex-Mario Andretti 1965 Brawner Hawk Indy car from the collection of NASCAR Hall of Fame crew chief Ray Evernham sold for a record $2.2 million at the Mecum Indy auction. More at VIntage Motorsport. 

 Shell will replace Speedway as the official fuel supplier of the NTT IndyCar Series in 2023, while Pennzoil, also a longtime Penske partner, will also become the official oil. More at Racer.
