+   Audi will skip the 2019 North American International Auto Show, joining luxury rivals BMW and Mercedes-Benz on the sidelines of the January event in Detroit. More at Automotive News Europe. 

+   The France family, founders and majority owners of NASCAR, have retained investment bankers Goldman Sachs Group to explore a sale of the racing series. More at Reuters.

+   General Motors has agreed to locates its Asia-Pacific corporate headquarters in South Korea, in a further commitment by the U.S. automaker to its South Korean operation. More at CNBC. 

+   Ford has halted production of the F-150 pickup due to a parts shortage caused by a fire at a magnesium casting plant that also supplies GM, FCA, and Mercedes. More at the Detroit Free Press.

 Plans to host a Formula 1 race in Miami next year moved a step closer to reality following approval from the Miami City Commission to proceed with negotiations. More at Racer. 

+   Rolls-Royce has now officially joined the ranks of luxury SUV makers with the $325,000 Cullinan, boasting a twin-turbo V12 and a curb weight of 5,900 lbs. More at Bloomberg.com.

 BMW has unveiled an even more powerful version of its twin-turbo M5 sedan called the M5 Competition, offering 617 horsepower and a list price of $110,995. More at USA Today

+   A 1984 Toleman-Hart driven by Ayrton Senna in his Formula 1 rookie year will be among the star consignments at the Bonhams Les Grandes Marques À Monaco sale. More at Hemmings Daily. 

 Cadillac will discontinue the ATS sedan after the 2018 model year and the ATS coupe will  follow a year later as the GM luxury brand continues to adjust its model lineup. More at The Detroit News. 

 The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is reviewing a Florida crash of a Tesla vehicle earlier this week in which two teenagers were killed. More at Reuters. 

+   Former Force India Formula 1 reserve driver Alfonso Celis Jr will make his IndyCar Series debut with Juncos Racing at Road America next month. More at Motorsport.com.

  1. The Toleman,, is it actually the one Senna drove. I believe there is a fair doubt.
