  1. Please don’t refer to that rope at Talledega as a “noose”. Such sloppy reporting furthers the false narrative of this hoax. This was one of several ropes on several doors of Talledega garages tied so as the end of the rope was a handle for pulling the door down.
    The facts are here:

I’m disappointed that you didn’t vet that before posting it.

    • I am familiar with the Talladega garages having covered many events there. Of the 50+ garage doors there, only one was tied off with a hangman’s knot. The RPM team did the right thing in reporting it. NASCAR did the right thing in investigating it. and the right thing in transparently reporting the findings. I’m glad it turned out well but there are a number of butthurt fans. Oh well. I am satisfied with my choice of words

    • “My Conservative Tree House” is not “reporting.” It’s an ultra-right wing freak show that specializes in conspiracy theories.

      • Right on, Mr. Earl! As soon as I saw the source for that poster’s comments, I thought the same thing as you. People go to the ultimate lengths to find sources that reflect whatever right-wing beliefs they already hold. Not saying that doesn’t happen with people on the left to some extent, but the right wing conspiracy theories are so incredibly prolific these days.

Apologies to Mr. McGuire if my comment is contributing to the thread getting off track. These damned conspiracy theories get my blood boiling!
