 Introducing its U.S. electrification plan, Stellantis pledged that Dodge will offer an all-electric muscle car and Ram will introduce an all-electric 1500 pickup by 2024. More at the Detroit Free Press. 

 Shelby American has unveiled its Lariat 4X4-based 2021 F-150 pickup, which boasts a supercharger to boost output from 395 to 775 hp and pricing that starts at $107,080. More at The Drive. 

 Volkswagen is reportedly looking for a co-investor to help expand Electrify America, the U.S. vehicle charging network in which the automaker holds a $2 billion stake. More at Car and Driver. 

 Carlos Reutemann, a leading Formula 1 driver in the 1970s and 1980s who became a senior politician in his native Argentina for three decades, has passed away at 79. More at BBC Sport. 

+   The European Union handed down $1 billion in fines to four German car makers, charging they colluded to limit the development and rollout of emission-control systems. More at The Detroit News.

 Following a flurry of criticism, Toyota will halt campaign donations to members of Congress who voted against President Joe Biden’s election certification in January. More at Reuters.

 Formula 1 race director Michael Masi says he’s open to adjusting the new sprint qualifying weekend rules should any unexpected issues arise at the British Grand Prix. More at Motorsport.com.

 Continuing its campaign to establish LiveWire as a stand-alone brand, Harley-Davidson introduced the LiveWire One, a lower-priced variant of the LiveWire electric motorcycle. More at Autoblog.

 The Alpha pickup from Detroit-based startup Hercules Electric Vehicles will feature styling by Pininfarina and four motors totaling 1000 horsepower, the company reports. More at Autoweek.

  1. As I recall, Volkswagen took a big piece of Electrify America as part of its legal settlement with the federal govt over dieselgate.
