 In Los Angeles, Henrik Fisker formally introduced the Fisker Ocean battery-powered SUV, pledging a base price of $37,499, a range of 250-300 miles, and 2021 deliveries. More at Car and Driver. 

+   For the first time in history, Fiat Chrysler’s Ram pickup brand outsold the Chevrolet Silverado, racking up 633,694 full-size truck sales in 2019 to Chevy’s 575,600. More at The Drive. 

+   Toyota reports that sales of the hybrid Prius are slipping, as car buyers are instead  opting for the hybrid versions of the automaker’s conventional models. More at Autoblog. 

+   ISM Connect and ISM Raceway in Phoenix, which was to host the 2020 NASCAR championship final, have suddenly ended their naming rights agreement for the track, More at Yahoo! Sports. 

+   Nissan managers are bracing for the worst as deposed chairman Carlos Ghosn is reportedly preparing a public relations barrage against his former company. More at Automotive News Europe. 

 Tesla’s global deliveries increased more than 50 percent in 2019, allowing the car maker to meet its annual sales target and pushing the share price to $438.16. More at The Detroit News. 

 General Motors will now offer Amazon Alexa in all its 2018 and newer models when equipped  with the Infotainment 3 in-dash system and GM’s 4G LTE internet service. More at CNET Roadshow.

 German car maker Daimler and Volvo Cars, owned by China’s Geely, are considering a technical partnership on internal combustion engine development. More at Reuters. 

 Team principal Mattia Binotto says Ferrari expects Mick Schumacher, son of seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher, to be contending for a Formula 1 ride soon. More at Motorsport.com. 

 Mercedes-Benz is recalling roughly 750,000 cars from 2001 through 2011 to repair a sunroof defect that could cause the units to detach from the vehicle and fly away. More at USA Today.

  1. In my opinion, the Silverado suffers for its horrible front end styling. They need to slap a new front end on it, quick.
