 According to the Consumer Price Index from the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics, used car prices remain at elevated levels but are currently trending downward. More at Autoblog. 

+  Toyota U.S. Vice President of Marketing Lisa Materazzo says the company expects to sell around 35,000 Prius hybrids this year, only slightly more than the 33,968 last year. More at Car and Driver. 

+   After several price hikes, Ford has again raised the cost of the F-150 Lightning Electric pickup in Pro base model trim to $59,014, compared to the original price of  $41,669. More at The Drive. 

+   The Ferrari Formula 1 team confirmed that former Sauber-Alfa Romeo boss Frederic Vasseur will be the new team principal and general manager, replacing Mattia Binotto. More at Racer. Meanwhile, Andreas Seidl will leave McLaren F1 to lead Sauber while Andrea Stella will take his place at McLaren. More at Motorsport.com. 

+   Italian premium brake manufacturer Brembo, supplier to Tesla, Ferrari and other carmakers, plans to expand one of its factories in the northern Mexican state of Nuevo Leon. More at Reuters. 

+   Stellantis is recalling approximately 1.4 million 2019-22 Ram pickups to correct a  tailgate defect that could cause it to open and send unsecured cargo spilling onto the roadway. More at the Detroit Free Press. 

+   With bipartisan backing, a House committee urged Transportion Secretary Pete Buttigieg to aid the automakers in speeding the adoption of connected-vehicle technology. More at Yahoo! News. 

+   Ford has released the powertrain specs for the 2024 Mustang, with the Dark Horse V8 rated at 500 hp, the standard GT V8 at 486 hp, and the 2.3-liter EcoBoost at 315 hp. More at Motor1.com. 

+   Several Class 8 truckmakers are lobbying against expanding a zero-emissions vehicle sales requirement implemented in 2021 by the California Air Resources Board. More at Autoweek. 

+   Drivers Michael McDowell and Todd Gilliland will return to drive Fords for Front Row Motorsports for the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series season, the team has confirmed. More at NBC Sports.
