+   Ford has denied a report from Reuters that the automaker is planning to move Fusion sedan production from Mexico to China and import the units to the USA. More at the Detroit Free Press. 

+   A fresh batch of spy photos of the 2019 Ram pickup show a redesigned chrome grille, revised rear lighting, and the previously revealed split tailgate. More at Autoblog. 

+   The American Center for Mobility, a new proving ground for self-driving vehicles, has opened in Willow Run, Michigan with Toyota and Visteon as its first users. More at The Detroit News.

+   The Société du parc Jean‑Drapeau, which operates the Circuit Gilles‑Villeneuve in Montreal where the Canadian Grand Prix is held, announced a $48 million makeover. More at Racer. 

+   A new manufacturer, California-based Thor Trucks, has joined Tesla, Cummins, and Daimler in the heavy-duty electric truck market with a model called the ET-One. More at Motor Trend.

+   Ford announced that it will move its electric and autonomous vehicle development teams from the Dearborn engineering campus to the Corktown district in Detroit. More at Reuters. 

 Renault has invested $42 million in its Dieppe, France plant to provide 6,500 units of production capacity for its Alpine 110 revival, which goes on sale in 2018. More at Automotive News Europe. 

+   Featured consignments at the 2018 Gooding & Company Scottsdale Auctions on January 19-20 will include an assortment of classic European sports cars. More at Sports Car Digest.  

 California filmmaker Bruce Brown, whose credits include the motorcycle documentary On any Sunday and the surfing classic Endless Summer, has passed away at 80. More at Hemmings Daily. 

+   Front Row Motorsports will step up its Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series program in 2018 with Ford entries for drivers David Ragan and Michael McDowell. More at Jayski.
