Today’s headlines: 

 Canada imported more vehicles from Mexico than the United States in June for the first time in three decades, signaling a historic shift due to Trump administration tariff policies. More at The Detroit News. 

 According to Cox Automotive, new car dealer inventories have stabilized at pre-tariff  levels as electric vehicle sales rose and incentives reached their highest level of the year. More at CBT News. 

 Acura has confirmed that the Honda luxury brand is pivoting away from its all-EV product policy and is now working on more internal-combustion and hybrid vehicles. More at The Drive. 

 Penske IndyCar driver Scott McLaughlin will race a Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R in a 1000-kilometer endurance race in Suzuka, Japan, describing the venue as a “bucket list track.” More at Motorsport.com.

 At the Quail for Monterey Car Week, Chevrolet unveiled the far-out Corvette CX Concept, an electric sports car with a matching race version, the CX.R Vision Gran Turismo. More at Motor Trend. 

 Reportedly, Xfinity will not return as title sponsor of the NASCAR second-tier series next year, with the leading candidate as its replacement said to be O’Reilley Auto Parts. More at Sportskeeda.
