 Auto insurance rates in the USA are rising at the fastest rate in 47 years, which insurance companies say is due to greater parts and labor costs and medical inflation. More at Autoblog. 

 Self-driving vehicle developer Waymo and Uber Eats have teamed up to provide meal delivery service from select restaurants in the Phoenix, Arizona area using Level 4 robotaxis. More at Autoweek. 

+   Mercedes Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton said “it would be epic” if Formula 1 and the Moto GP series, now both owned by Liberty Media, could share weekend events. More at Motorsport.com. 

 Two days after Ford issued a recall on 43,000 Bronco Sports to repair leaking fuel injectors, the federal government objected that the proposed fix does not correct the problem. More at The Detroit News. 

 Tesla is reducing the monthly subsctription price of its Full Self-Driving (FSD) package by half to $99 a month, though the one-time cash purchase option is still available. More at CNBC. 

 According to a study by iSeeCars, used vehicle sales have increased significantly in the last two months, while new vehicles sales are slowing and dealer inventories are on the rise. More at CBT News. 

+   Jimmie Johnson, co-owner of the Legacy Motor Club NASCAR Cup team, says the team owners are “a unified group” in their efforts to strike a better financial deal with the series. More at NBC Sports. 

 Star attractions at the 2024 Barrett-Jackon Palm Beach auction on April 18-20 will include a 1966 Aston Martin DB6, a 1972 DeTomaso Pantera, and a 2020 Lamborghini Aventador SVJ. More at Old Cars. 

 Eight vehicles, including a rare 2023 Dodge Challenger Demon SRT 170 valued at $158,000, were stolen in a break-in at the North County Ford dealership in Arab, Alabama. More at Motor Trend.
