 General Motors will end production of the gasoline-powered Cadillac XT6 at its Spring Hill, Tennessee plant near the end of year, but the smaller XT5 crossover will continue. More at CNBC. 

 At Porsche in the first quarter of 2025, battery-electric models accounted for 25.9 percent of global vehicle deliveries, while plug-in hybrid models represented 12.6 percent. More at Autoweek. 

+   Mega-dealersihip operator Herb Chambers and affilitated parties have agreed to pay $11.8 million to resolve COVID Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan fraud allegations. More at CBT News. 

 In Canada, Tesla is accused of scamming the government’s buyer incentive program for electric vehicles by suspicously claiming 8,653 sales at four dealers in 72 hours. More at Autoblog. 

+   The South Korean government announced emergency support measures for its auto sector, seeking to reduce the damage of U.S. government import tariffs on the industry. More at World Auto Forum. 

 General Motors unveiled a futuristic new electric-powered Corvette concept designed by a UK-based team with both hypercar and traditional Corvette styling elements. More at The Verge. 

 Robert Reid, the FIA’s deputy president for sport and a senior member of Mohammed Ben Sulayem’s presidential team, has resigned, citing s a “governance crisis.” More at Racer.
