Join actor Patrick Stewart for this thorough and enjoyable video biography of Sir Stirling Moss.
We’re big fans of the British actor Patrick Stewart and we always enjoy his work on the big and small screens. But we have to confess we are not as sharp on our celebrity knowledge as we might be, for we didn’t fully realize until now that the Star Trek captain is a passionate car enthusiast. And of course, like all British car guys of his generation, Stewart is a great admirer of motor racing legend Sir Stirling Moss, who unfortunately just passed away yesterday, April 12, at the age of 90.
While we were reflecting on the extraordinary life and career of Sir Stirling, we happened to fall across this excellent video biography produced by the BBC in 2012 and hosted by Mr. Stewart. (It was the first episode of a television series entitled Racing Legends, we understand.) Roughly one hour in length, this is as thorough and loving a portrait of Moss as we’ve ever encountered in visual form, and we are happy to share it here. Enjoy the video.
Great documentary! I loved every minute of it. Although it didn’t cover his work with Jaguar in the development of the “C”,”D”, or “E” types. Maybe I was incorrect as to his involvement.
