The annual Motor Muster at Greenfield Village, Henry Ford’s historical theme park in Dearborn, Michigan, is now in its 30th year. Here’s our report with a big photo gallery.
Greenfield Village, Henry Ford’s fabulous historical theme park at in Dearborn, Michigan, hosts two big collector car events every year: the Old Car Festival on Labor Day weekend for vehicles built before 1933, and the Motor Muster on Father’s Day weekend for vehicles produced between 1933 and 1976. (For more info visit The Henry Ford’s Motor Muster page.) While the Old Car Festival is said to be the oldest-running vintage car show in the USA, the Motor Muster has some legs as well—it’s now in its 30th year.
The Motor Muster always features an impressive variety of later-model vehicles: domestics and imports, cars and trucks, fire and military vehicles. This year’s automotive theme was Fabulous Fins, and the festivities included a World War II-flavored revue titled GI Jive: A Big Band Swing show with live music and dancing. Due to all the other events around the area, we weren’t able to stick around for the entire weekend’s schedule, but here’s a bit of what we found on our brief tour on Saturday.
