Video: The Miraculous Miniature Model T Fords of Ruben Vinyolas

Ruben Vinylos of Argentina builds exquisitely detailed scale models of the Model T Ford. See one of his magical creations spring into life here.

Thanks to Mac’s Motor City Garage contributor Tony Matthews for alerting us to this wonderful model and video.

Ruben Vinylos of Argentina builds meticulously detailed scale models of the Model T Ford. Inspired in part, he says, by Bruce McCalley’s classic 1994 book, Model T Ford: The Car That Changed the World, his exquisite replicas are almost indistinguishable from the real thing—except for their petite size, of course. (You can learn more about Mr. Vinylos and his amazing work at Ruben Vinylos.com.)

The model featured here is a 1924 Roadster Pickup in 1:5 scale, handcrafted from scratch in brass, wood, steel, and other materials. The video includes a close-up look at the truly breathtaking craftsmanship employed by Mr. Vinylos, and maybe a tiny bit of showbiz magic, too. After several viewings, we’re not sure—just call us delightfully baffled. Please enjoy the video.

  1. Very cool. I think I can see what he did but I’m not sure and I don’t want to spoil it for others.

  2. I was expecting to see the car drive off. Very fine work! Thank you for sharing it.
